Notes?

Will notes be allowed on the final?  Yes!  You can have two pages of notes.  I will provide a Boolean identity table (like on the first quiz) and a list of MIPS instructions (that I will post soon so you can see it ahead of time).  No calculators

What's on the Final?

Wish I knew...  The final will be comprehensive and it will focus about 80% on material from exams 1 & 2.  New material will be up through that covered by HW 8.

Lecture Slides Posted

The lecture slides are posted for your studying convenience.  You can find them on the Lectures page along with all the handouts that have been given over the semester.

Opinions?

You've listened to Prof. Anderson spouting his opinions long enough--it's time to share yours.  Starting Nov 28 you can log into the Course Instructor Opinion Survey and provide feedback on the course.

This is very important and I take the feedback seriously so please be sure to take the time to fill out the survey.--thanks, dva

Final Exam Dates

...have been added to the lecture schedule and are shown below.

Final W 12/14 8:00-10:50am Section A

Exam #2 date change

Exam #2 will now be held on Friday, November 11.  Since this is a rather last-minute change, please contact me if you would rather take it on Wednesday.

Quiz 3???

I've posted Quiz 3 from fall 1999--some of the problems on that quiz will also be helpful in preparation for this year's Quiz 2.

Interested in Memory?

I've posted several links to more information about current memory types on the Resources page.

Students Encouraged to Work Practice Problems

The Main 2030 Page (link to the left) contains many sample problems that are useful for learning concepts discussed in class.

Homework Problems on the Exam

Prof. Anderson has been known to frequently put homework problems on exams in the past and this practice is expected to continue.

Here is the exam I gave in Fall 1999 and the solutions.
