Here are several introductions to the MIPS ISA:

Quiz 2 Study Material

Work problems from the old quizzes 2 & 3.  The only material from Fall 1999 - Quiz 3 that is not covered on this exam are the SPIM/assembly language programming topics.

Memory

There are many web sources describing the various types of memory but I haven't been able to find an really recent ones.  However, after looking these over, I think they do a pretty good job of describing most of the types of DRAM out there.
