Unit Three: Semiconductor Processes and IC Circuits

Semiconductor Processing: MOSFET, BJT, and Passive (Capacitor) fabrication. The goal is not to make students into process engineerings, or to repeat detailed process steps for an exam. On the other hand, knowledge of semiconductor processing and process capabilities are essential to analog IC design. One should extract parameters from layout, and recognizing the vertical semiconductor device structure for a given process. One should be able to apply these concepts in conjunction with the circuits discussed so far in class.
