Gabriel A. Rincón-Mora received his B.S.E.E. from Florida International University (with High Honors) in 1992 and M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech (as Outstanding Ph.D. Graduate) in 1994 and 1996, respectively, and is an Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Fellow. He worked for Texas Instruments in 1994-2003, was appointed Adjunct Professor for Georgia Tech in 1999-2001, and became a full-time faculty member at Georgia Tech in 2001. His scholarly products include 8 books (as sole author), 1 book chapter, over 120 scientific publications, 27 patents, over 26 commercial power management chip designs, and over 45 international speaking engagements. He received the Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers’ "National Hispanic in Technology Award," Florida International University’s "Charles E. Perry Visionary Award," a "Commendation Certificate" from the Lieutenant Governor of California, IEEE CASS Service Award, and Robins Air Force Base’s "Orgullo Hispano" and "Hispanic Heritage" awards. He was inducted into Georgia Tech’s "Council of Outstanding Young Engineering Alumni," elected IEEE CASS’ Distinguished Lecturer for 2009-2010, and featured on the cover of Hispanic Business magazine as one of "The 100 Most Influential Hispanics," La Fuente (Dallas publication), and three times on Nuevo Impacto (Atlanta magazine). He received an "Honorable Mention" from the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 1993 and was a Florida Undergraduate Scholar and a Florida International University Faculty Scholar in 1989-1992.

Dr. Rincón-Mora is Associate Editor for IEEE's Transactions on Circuits and Systems II (TCAS II) since 2007; Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Low-Power Electronics (JOLPE) since 2009; Chairman of Atlanta’s joint IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) and Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) since 2005; Technical Committee Member for IEEE’s CASS Analog Signal Processing (ASP) since 2003 and Power Systems and Power Electronic Circuits (PSPEC) since 2009; Steering Committee Member for IEEE’s Midwest Symposium of Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS) since 2006; was General Chair for the Semiconductor Research Corporation’s (SRC) Energy and Power Analog Circuit Challenges Workshop in 2009; Circuit Design Vice Chair for IEEE’s 2008 7th International Caribbean Conference on Devices, Circuits and Systems (ICCDCS) in Cancun; Technical Program Chair for IEEE’s 2007 Joint MWSCAS-NEWCAS in Montreal; Technical Program Co-Chair for IEEE’s 2006 MWSCAS in Puerto Rico; Vice Chairman of Atlanta’s SSCS-CASS in 2004; and SBIR Selection Committee Review Panelist for the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2003-2007.
