A. Ozan Bicen received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2010. He received his M.Sc. degree under the supervision of Prof. Ozgur B. Akan in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koc University, Istanbul, Turkey in July 2012.

From May 2015 until August 2015, he worked at Tampere University of Techniology, Tampere, Finland as a visiting researcher on the use of intercellular calcium waves for molecular communication.

He obtained his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Ian F. Akyildiz in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia in May 2016. His current research interests include design and performance analysis of molecular communication systems for the interconnection of engineered cells.
