Biography

Ahyoung Lee received his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver in 2006 and 2011 respectively, and BS degree in Information and Computer Engineering from the Hansung University in 2001, Seoul, Korea. She was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Technological Institute of the Philippines at Manila in 2012-2013, and she was a Senior Sesearcher in the Communication Policy Research Center at the Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in 2012.

Her main research interests include adaptive routing schemes for large-scale network resources, anaylytical models and network performance evaluations in Ad Hoc Wireless Networks, Sensor Networks and Mobile Wireless Networks; future internet architecture for wireless/mobile cloud networking; securing wireless applications and networks.

Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in the Broadband Wireless Networking Lab under the supervision of Pr. Dr. Ian F. Akyildiz, with a research project focused on Software Defined Networking (SDN).

  • 2011 Best Paper Award, Acceptance rate 15% from the Internatinal Conference on Computer Convergence Technology (KKITS, ICCCT 2011), Seoul, Korea.

  • 2009 Best Paper Award from the 12th Communications and Networks Simulation Symposium (SpringSim, CNS2009), San Diego, CA, USA.
     
  • 2009 Scholarship from Mieczyslaw Altman for CSIS Ph.D. student (2009~2011) in Computer Science and Engineering at University of Colorado Denver.
     
  • 2009 Received Golden Key Membership from Golden Key International Honour Society at University of Colorado Denver.
     
  • 2005 Received Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges / In recognition of outstanding merit and accomplishment as a student as University of Colorado Denver, College of Engineering & Applied Science.
