Biography

Anna Vizziello received the Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy, in April 2007 with the thesis "Estimation techniques for time and frequency selective channels with application to 802.16".

She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Pavia in Telecommunication & Remote Sensing Laboratory. Her research interests are Broadband Transmission Systems and Interference Mitigation.

From June 2007 to December 2009 she also collaborated with European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering (EUCENTRE) working in the Telecommunications and Remote Sensing group. She partecipated in the European project ProeTEX working on long range transmissions in emergency situations, and in the project FIRB Italy-Turkey working on data transmission for monitoring of strategic infrastructures.

Since May 2009 she has been a visiting researcher at Broadband Wireless Networking Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, working on Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Networks.

In September 1999 she also graduated in trasverse flute at Conservatory "E. R. DUNI" of Matera, Italy, and nowadays she performs in chamber music ensembles and orchestra.
