Biography
Brandon F. Lo (
) is a Ph.D. student pursuing his doctoral degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is doing research on cognitive radio networks under the supervision of Professor Ian F. Akyildiz at Broadband Wireless Networking Lab. His research interests include the development of spectrum sensing and spectrum sharing techniques in cognitive radio networks.
Brandon held an internship position with Idaho National Laboratory working on the cognitive radio testbed system in 2010. Before his doctoral study, Brandon designed and delivered processors and chipsets at Intel Corporation, video processors at BroadLogic Networks Technologies, and digital signal processing chips in semiconductor industry. He holds an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a B.S. degree in Computer Science, with honors, from Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan. He is a member of the IEEE Communications, Computer, and Signal Processing Societies.
