Conferences and Workshops

The CSS Technical Committee on Education will be sponsoring invited sessions at future ACC's and CDC's. The goal is to promote cohesive educational sessions at these conferences. Prospective organizers or authors may contact Bonnie Heck with their intention to submit a session or a paper. The Technical Committee will organize papers into sessions and submit the invited session proposals for consideration in the conference. Topics of interest include unique laboratories or experiments, new course paradigms, interactive computer tools, distance learning, incorporation of practical/industrial concepts into controls courses, and multi-media approaches to controls education.

Deadline to submit a paper for the 2002 ACC: August 15, 2001

For more information or to participate in this activity as an organizer, contact Bonnie Heck.

The NSF/CSS Workshop on New Directions in Controls Education was held in October, 1998 at the University of Illinois. The Web site contains the breakout session summaries and a draft of the final report.
