Research Position Opening: Wireless Networks
I have an open position in my group, beginning Summer or Fall 2015, for a PhD
student or a postdoc in the area of wireless networks. This position is
not available to M.S. students. Please do not apply for this opening if
you do not already have at least an M.S. degree.
The specific research topic for this position is the use of multiple access
points (APs) and advanced physical layer techniques such as MIMO, multi-user
MIMO, cooperative MIMO, and nonlinear techniques like successive
interference cancellation in order to dramatically improve the performance of
multi-AP wireless networks. Here are some background materials about this
topic:
If you are looking for a postdoc position for next year or applying to Georgia
Tech as a PhD student for Fall 2015 and you are interested in this topic,
please email me a copy of your CV and a short research proposal
targeting this area. The proposal deadline is Feb. 15, 2015. Please
refer to the above materials when writing your proposal. The ideal proposal
length is 3-4 pages. Proposals much shorter than this will not be treated as
serious. Proposals longer will not be read due to time constraints.
Finalists for the position will be notified shortly after the Feb. 15 deadline
and will be required to submit at least two letters of recommendation.
If you are a current Georgia Tech PhD student, you are free to send me a
proposal. As an alternative, if you convince me you are a serious applicant
for the position, I might consider offering you an individual study opportunity
for Spring with a mutual decision at the end of Spring whether to continue the
work.
