Biography

Elias was born in 1984 in Panama City, Panama. In June 2007, he obtained his B.E. Degree in Electronics and Communication from the Universidad de Panamá. In May 2010, he obtained his M.S. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology

From 2007 to 2008, he worked in Centauri Technologies Corporation as Junior Analyst. During this period he was in charge of the analysis and implementation of information security systems.

Currently, he is a PhD student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in the Broadband Wireless Networking Lab under the supervision of Pr. Dr. Ian F. Akyildiz, with a fellowship of “SENACYT”.

Honors and Awards

• Colonel Oscar P. Cleaver Award, outstanding graduate student in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Fall 2008.
   
  
• ``SENACYT´´ Fellowship, awarded for research abroad with full funding support for the duration of the 2008-2012 academic courses.
