   The ViCoN-Bot
is a standard RC car modified to be guided with a digital camera
and controlled with a FPGA board. The mission of the ViCoN-Bot was
to traverse a designed course using a digital camera as of means
of detection for a series of unique and defining landmarks.
   Ideally, the
EE hallway would serve as a full scale course, and future robots
would compete in a race based on a design pioneered by the ViCoN-Bot.
Design of the ViCoN-Bot consisted of mastering the control of a
digital camera, programming an interface between the camera and
the FPGA, coding a FPGA module to control the robot, constructing
a robot, developing a state machine, assembling a course, and complete
testing and debugging.
   The ViCoN-Bot
is certain to lay the foundation for more advanced senior designs
that utilize digital cameras in analogous ways.
