Project Abstract
The purpose of this project is to develop a set of
Remote Desktop interfaces for the Ebox. By the use of Remote Desktop
Connection that is part of Windows CE 6 kernel, one can export a
Microsoft Windows XP / Vista desktop to an Ebox and control it from
there. By the use of Remote Display Application (cerdisp) on the Ebox
and cerhost application on the PC (XP/Vista) one can remotely view and
control the Ebox over WiFi / Ethernet.
We have also developed two print-screen utilities for
Windows CE 6. One is just a standalone application that takes a screen
shot and stores it as a jpeg image when the print-screen key is pressed.
The second application takes a screen shot every 12 seconds and stores
it as a jpeg in \Windows\www\wwwpub\ folder. Since we are running a web
server on the Ebox, a remote user can see the current state of the Ebox
using a standard web browser.
