Introduction
A magnetic card reader is a device that reads data out from a magnetic stripe card, which is commonly used everywhere. Inspired by the idea of "stealing" credit card numbers and storing them in a convenient hand-held device, we interfaced a magnetic card reader to the ISA bus of a PC running Windows CE. A device driver will be used to obtain data from cards swiped through the reader, and a simple application will demonstrate its use.
This device consists of a magnetic card reader, an Altera board, and a PC running Windows CE.
