Network mp3 appliance (stream music over the network)

We have used GNUMP3d software which is a streaming server for MP3’s, movies and other Media. We have used this software to stream server for MP3’s. This software is user friendly and easy to install and also designed to be small, stable, portable, self-contained, and secure. Once you have downloaded GNUMP3 source code from http://www.gnu.org/software/gnump3d/download.html link where different versions are available depending on the platform you are using. Now you are ready to install the software with ‘make install’ if you are using a typical UNIX platform. If you are using Windows platform which we did this are the steps you should take:

· Download and install the recent version available.

· Then unzip the gnump3d-2.zip file

· Make any changes that you need to c:\gnump3d2\etc\gnump3d.conf.win, if you have extracted gnump3d-2.zip to your ‘c:/’ drive.

· Run gnump3d2\bin\gnump3d-index.bat once

· Run gnump3d\bin\run.bat', and edit the location of your MP3s, because the script assumes that the music is in C:\MP3.
