Matthieu Bloch - Assistant Professor

Short Biography

Matthieu Bloch was born in Sevres, France in 1981. He received the Engineering degree from Supelec, Gif-sur-Yvettes, France, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, in 2003, the Ph.D. degree in Engineering Science from the Universite de Franche-Comte, Besancon, France, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2008. In 2008-2009, he was a postoctoral research associate at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN, USA.

Since July 2009, Dr. Bloch has been on the faculty of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests are in the areas of information theory, error-control coding, wireless communications, and quantum cryptography.

Dr. Bloch is a member of the IEEE.
