Chapter 1

  1. Example 1.5.1, page 17: The total solution is correct on page 17. However, the constants A1 and A2 are calculated incorrectly. Note that the derived initial conditions should be y(0) = 1 and y(1) = 1.25. Using these to solve for A1 and A2 we find that A1=-1/4 and A2= -1/12. Substituting these into the total solution gives the final answer.

Chapter 4

  1. Problem 4.4 (d), page 154: The region of convergence for the z-transform should be values of z between 1/a and a.


Chapter 9

  1. Example 9.4.2, page 371: The 4th-order Chebyshev polynomial should be T4(x) = 8x4 - 8x2 + 1 and the frequency response of the type 1 Chebyshev filter modified accordingly.
