Short Biography
Pan Zhou received his Ph.D. degree in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology (Georiga Tech) in 2011. His supervision is John H. Weitnauer, Jr., Chair Professor Dr. John A. Copeland. He also received a master degree of Computer Engineering from School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georiga Tech in 2010 and a MS degree from Electrical and Information Engineering Departemnt at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST) in 2008. He was once a member of the Advanced Class of HUST which consists of selected students from its 6 departments, such as computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, control, etc.
His Ph.D. research area is wireless communications and networking. His PhD minor is applied proabbility thoery. He had tight acedemic connections with researchers on operational research in School of ISYE and MATH of Georiga Tech during his PhD. These interesting topics included: game theory, advanced probability theory, stochastic theory, queueing theory, and advanced optimization theory, etc.
