Biography


Shi-in Chang is a Ph.D. student in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. He received his B.S. in Electronics Engineering at Korea University, Seoul, Korea in 1997. He also received his M.S.E. from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2003. Currently, his main research interests include Cross-Layer Protocol Design in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks and Mathematical Modeling of Computer Networks.

Before coming to Georgia Tech, he was a research engineer in a R&D group of the Telecommunication Network Division at Samsung Electronics, Suwon, Korea from 2003 to 2007.

He has joined the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory at Gerogia Tech since Feb. 2008 pursuing his doctoral degree under the supervision of Professor Ian F. Akyildiz.
