Research Interests

Professor Gaylord's current research interests in optical digital parallel processing include holographic parallel logic and truth-table look-up techniques. In grating diffraction theory his research includes diffraction by volume periodic structures and antireflection grating surfaces. In integrated optics his interests include hybrid waveguide modes and devices. In electro-optic materials his interests include modulators and photorefractive effects. In semiconductor quantum electron wave devices his current interests include electron filters, electron waveguides, and negative resistance devices.
